Думаю, что многим хорошо известна кинокартина К. Тарантино «Убить Билла», где бандиты устраивают кровавую бойню на свадьбе, а выжившая невеста жестоко мстит убийцам за своего жениха.

Гораздо меньше людей знают, что похожий сюжет был экранизирован ещё в 1968 году. Я имею в виду фильм французского режиссёра Франсуа Трюффо «La mariee etait en noir» («Невеста была в чёрном», или в другом переводе — «Невеста была в трауре»).

     

Правда, в нём, в отличие от фильма Тарантино, жениха убивают по нелепой случайности. Что, впрочем, вовсе не мешает героине методично и хладнокровно убивать невольных обидчиков, постепенно вычёркивая имя за именем из своего «расстрельного» списка.

Собственно, песня Кейт Буш так и называется — «Свадебный список». Её текст напрямую вдохновлён фильмом Трюффо, а в клипе откровенно копируется сцена убийства жениха на ступенях церкви. Кстати, роль бандюгана в видеоролике сыграл брат певицы — Педди.

Интересно, что в 1990 году Кейт Буш сыграла эпизодическую роль невесты в комедийном ТВ-сериале «Les Dogs» (Сезон 5, Эпизод 6).
